INTRODUCTION:

This course will provide an overview of the BPT function as well as guidelines for attorneys.  This newly developed course focuses on the knowledge, skills, and abilities attorneys hired for Board of Prison Terms (BPT) hearings need to appropriately represent disabled parolees in a manner which complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as well as the requirements of the Permanent Injunction (PI) filed as a result of the Armstrong v. Davis litigation.
