Methods
of Providing Program Accessibility:
Structural methods include alteration of existing
facilities or acquisition of new facilities.
The Board of Prison Terms does not own or operate the locations
where parole proceedings are held, but the courts have held us responsible
to ensure that parole proceedings are accessible.
This means that BPT must find an alternate location if access is an
issue.
Other methods are the acquisition or redesign of equipment, the assignment of aids to participants, or providing the program, service, or activity at an alternate location that is accessible.
