E. IDENTIFICATION & ACCOMMODATION
BPT’S PROCEDURES FOR COMPLIANCE:

CDC Institutional staff shall provide the services and/or equipment deemed appropriate via the BPT 1073 process.

Designated institutions will have reading machines available such as the Galileo machine.

If the institution is unable to provide a recommended accommodation, the C&PR shall immediately notify the BPT ADA Compliance Unit (ADACU) which shall make arrangements for the appropriate accommodation.

The BPT ADACU will ensure auxiliary aids and services will be maintained & made available to non-CDC facilities where a need is identified. Some facilities may already have certain auxiliary aids available (e.g., TTY/TDD, assistive listening devices, telephone handset amplifiers, etc.)
