J. APPEALS

Prisoners/parolees who cannot use or understand the appeal process or prepare an appeal due to a disability must receive effective assistance in preparing the appeal.

All ADA-related appeals must be decided w/in 30 days of receipt by BPT.

Parolee will be advised that s/he may file a BPT 1040, Notice of Appeal within 90 days after the hearing.

A decision on an ADA grievance may not be a bar to further appeal on non-ADA issues via BPT form 1040.
