The DHA will conduct the Service of Hearing Rights on parolees not designated by the DC as attorney/BCPA review cases. Within 7 calendar days after the serve the BCPA will conduct a face to face due process review. The BCPA will initiate the review by completing a BPT Form 1073(b).

Parole proceedings, BCPA reviews, and hearings are conducted at various county facilities. Inmates/parolees who are initially identified as having a cognitive or mental disability will be referred to a BCPA.

Those inmates/parolees who have no documentation indicating they have a disability will continue to be referred to the CDC District Hearing Agents (DHAs) for processing.
